Sometimes you want to use your screenshot for your own project, or just save it somewhere else. All the screenshots you take via the in-game overlay (F12 key if you use default binds), are saved locally on your own computer. So, where is the Steam screenshot folder?

The screenshot folder location Windows is:
Path_to_Steam\Steam\userdata\[user_id]\760\remote\[game_id]\screenshots
In a default Steam install this will be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[user_id]\760\remote\[app_id]\screenshots
Where user_id is your the Steam id (steamID3) for the user that took the screenshot, and app_id is the id of the game the screenshot was taken in.
